Description:
Patients:
This study involved 57 advanced colorectal cancer patients who had previously been treated with oxaliplatin and fluoropyrimidine. Patients had a median age of 52 years and 58% were male.

Treatment:
Patients were treated with a combination of chemotherapy agents called FOLFIRI, which includes leucovorin, irinotecan, and 5-fluorouracil.

Toxicities:
The maximum toxicity reported was grade 4, including leukopenia, neutropenia, and febrile neutropenia. Grade 3 diarrhea, alopecia, and mucositis (inflammation of the mouth and GI tract) were also reported. All patients had grade 1-3 nausea and vomiting.

Results:
The median progression-free survival and median overall survival was 4.8 and 7.8 months, respectively.
