Description:
Patients:
This study involved 26 patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma. The median age of the group was 58 years and 18 were male.

Treatment:
Patients were treated with the biologic therapy called lapatinib, which is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor.

Toxicities:
Maximum toxicity grade was 3, including 2 cases of diarrhea and 1 case of rash. Grade 2 nausea, vomiting, and fatigue were also reported.

Results:
The reported median overall survival was 12.6 months.
