Description:
Patients:
This phase II study involved 28 patients with advanced non-small-cell lung cancer, 71.4% of whom were male. The median patient age was 63 years.

Treatment:
Patients were treated with the chemotherapy agents Genexol (brand name for paclitaxel) and carboplatin.

Toxicities:
The most severe adverse events were of grade 4, including neutropenia (50% of patients with grade 3-4) and peripheral neuropathy (28.6% with grade 3-4).

Results:
The median overall survival was 8.2 months.
