Description:
Patients:
This phase II study involved 31 previously treated non-small cell lung cancer patients with a median age of 66 years; 21 were males.

Treatment:
Patients were treated with the chemotherapy agents irinotecan and amrubicin.

Toxicities:
There was one reported treatment-related death due to neutropenia with fever. Grade 4 leucopenia, diarrhea, and infection were also reported.

Results:
The median overall survival was 14.2 months.
