Description:
Patients:
This phase II study involved 53 patients with T-cell lymphoma. The median patient age was 66 years and 26 were male.

Treatment:
Patients were treated with the chemotherapy agents pirarubicin, cyclophosphamide, and vincristine, in addition to the hormone prednisolone.

Toxicities:
The most severe adverse effects were of grade 4 and included neutropenia (34% of patients), anemia (5%) and thrombocytopenia (6%).

Results:
The median overall survival was 14.3 months.
