Description:
Patients:
This study involved 45 advanced bladder cancer patients who had been previously treated with a platinum–gemcitabine regimen. The median patient age was 58 years and 80% were male.

Treatment:
Patients were treated with the chemotherapy agents methotrexate, vinblastine, doxorubicin, and cisplatin.

Toxicities:
Four treatment-related deaths due to infection were reported in this study. Grade 3 or higher dehydration was also reported.

Results:
The median overall survival was 14.2 months.
