Description:
Patients:
This phase II study involved 30 aggressive non-Hodgkin lymphoma patients who had relapsed following previous chemotherapy. The median patient age was 61.2 years and 40% were male.

Treatment:
Patients were treated with the chemotherapy agents cyclophosphamide, pixantrone, and vincristine, and the hormone prednisone.

Toxicities:
The maximum toxicities were of grade 4 and included neutropenia, leukopenia, lymphopenia, and heart failure.

Results:
The median overall survival was 17.9 months.
