Description:
Patients:
This study involved 29 men with castration-resistant prostate cancer who had a median age of 72 years.

Treatment:
Patients were treated with a reduced dose of the chemotherapy agent docetaxel.

Toxicities:
The maximum reported toxicities were of grade 4 and included neutropenia. Grade 1 pneumonia was also reported.

Results:
The reported median overall survival was 27.1 months.
