Description:
Patients:
This study involved 42 advanced urothelial carcinoma patients who had not been previously treated with chemotherapy. The median patient age was 64 years and 54.8% were male.

Treatment:
Patients were treated with the chemotherapy agents gemcitabine, etoposide, and cisplatin.

Toxicities:
The most severe toxicities were of grade 4 and included neutropenia (83.3% of patients), thrombocytopenia (23.8%), and anemia (7.1%).

Results:
The median overall survival was 16.2 months.
