Description:
Patients:
This phase 2 study involved 18 transitional cell bladder cancer patients. The median patient age was 71.5 years and 10 were male.

Treatment:
Patients were treated with the chemotherapy agents gemcitabine and oxaliplatin.

Toxicities:
The most severe toxicities were of grade 4 and included thrombocytopenia and lymphopenia. Grade 3 fatigue and nerve disorders were also reported.

Results:
The median overall survival was 10.4 months.
