Description:
Patients:
This phase 2 study involved 25 advanced hepatocellular carcinoma patients who had portal vein tumor thrombosis (PVTT). The median patient age was 67 years and 20 were male.

Treatment:
Patients were treated with hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy with cisplatin.

Toxicities:
The most severe toxicities were grade 4 liver enzyme elevation. Grade 3 leukopenia and neutropenia were also reported.

Results:
The median overall survival was 7.6 months.
