Description:
Patients:
This study involved 37 diffuse large cell lymphoma or large cell immunoblastic lymphoma patients who had received prior chemotherapy. The median patient age was 68 years and 41% were male.

Treatment:
Patients were treated with the chemotherapy agent called topotecan.

Toxicities:
The most severe toxicities were of grade 4 and included thrombocytopenia, granulocytopenia, hemorrhage, and vomiting. Grade 3 nausea and diarrhea were also reported.

Results:
The median overall survival was 10.5 months.
