Description:
Patients:
This phase 2 study involved 41 recurrent, platinum-resistant ovarian cancer patients who had previously received platinum-based chemotherapy. The median patient age was 60 years.

Treatment:
Patients were treated with the chemotherapy agents gemcitabine and oxaliplatin.

Toxicities:
The most severe toxicities were grade 4 neutropenia. Grade 3 anemia, nausea/vomiting, and diarrhea were also reported.

Results:
The median overall survival was 16.5 months.
