Description:
Patients:
This involved 92 patients with non-Hodgkin lymphoma or chronic lymphocytic leukemia. The median patient age was 61 years and 64 were men.

Treatment:
Patients were treated with the chemotherapy agent bendamustine. Some patients (unspecified) were also treated with the biologic therapy agent rituximab.

Toxicities:
Treatment-related deaths due to infection, heart failure, and stroke were reported. Grade 3-4 neutropenia and thrombocytopenia also occurred.

Results:
The median overall survival was 11.5 months.
