Description:
Patients:
This phase 2 study involved 64 patients with recurrent, platinum-resistant epithelial ovarian cancer (patients had been previously treated with platinum-containing therapy). The median patient age was 58 years.

Treatment:
Patients were treated with the biologic therapy agent called ENMD-2076, which is a small molecule kinase inhibitor that interferes with cancer cell growth.

Toxicities:
The most severe toxicities were of grade 4 and included hypertension, brain hemorrhage, and neutropenia. Grade 3 fatigue was also reported.

Results:
The median overall survival was 12 months.
