Patients: This Phase II trial involved 36 patients with advanced metastatic colorectal cancer.

Treatment: The treatment consisted of two chemotherapy drugs irinotecan (camptosar) and 5-FU (5-fluorouracil, adrucil).

Toxicity: Grade 3-4 toxicities included: anemia, neutropenia, abdominal pain, anorexia, asthenia, cardiovascular, diarrhea, fever, infection, nausea/vomiting, and mucositis.

Results: The median overall survival was 17.2 months.
