Description:
Patients:
This study involved 59 hepatocellular carcinoma patients with an average age of 60.53 years; 83.1% were male.

Treatment:
Patients received chemotherapy with doxorubicin. Specifically, patients received transarterial chemoembolization of tiny beads embedded with doxorubicin.

Toxicities:
The most severe toxicities were of grade 3 and included bradycardia (slow heart rate), abdominal pain, and gastric ulcers/bleeding.

Results:
The median overall survival was 15.1 months.
