Description:
Patients:
This phase 3 study involved 534 previously treated metastatic colorectal cancer patients. The median patient age was 63 years and 61% were male.

Treatment:
Patients received chemotherapy with TAS-102.

Toxicities:
There was one reported treatment-related death due to sepsis. Grade 3 or higher decreased appetite, fatigue, and stomatitis (inflammation of the stomach lining) were also reported.

Results:
The median overall survival was 7.1 months.
