Description:
Patients:
This phase 2 study involved 28 advanced non‑squamous non‑small cell lung cancer patients who had not received prior chemotherapy. The median patient age was 75 years and 75% were male.

Treatment:
Patients received chemotherapy with pemetrexed.

Toxicities:
The most severe toxicities were of grade 4 and included leukopenia, neutropenia, and shortness of breath. Grade 3 fatigue and nausea were also reported.

Results:
The median overall survival was 9.5 months.
