Patients: This Phase II study involved 81 patients with metastatic breast cancer.

Treatment: The treatment consisted of the administration of the drugs, doxorubicin (adriamycin) and docetaxel (taxotere).

Toxicity: Grade 3-4 toxicities included: nausea/vomiting, stomatitis, alopecia, asthenia, neurosensory, skin, nail disorder, cardiac function, neutropenia, and febrile neutropenia.

Results: Median survival time was 31 months.
