Patients: This Phase II study involved 33 patients with metastatic breast cancer.

Treatment: Treatment consisted of three drugs docetaxel (taxotere), doxorubicin (adriamycin), and cyclophosphamide (cytoxan).

Toxicity: Toxicities included grade 4 neutropenia. Other toxicities included allergic reactions, chills, arthralgia, and myalgia

Results: Median survival was 1.5 years. (Note, this study also mentioned the identical survival statistic as being 2.5 years, however the same drugs on a different schedule in the same study yielded survival of 1.1 years, suggesting that the 2.5 years is a typographical error.)
