Patients: This Phase II trial involved 100 patients with advanced breast cancer.

Treatment: The treatment consisted of two chemotherapy drugs paclitaxel (taxol) and carboplatin (paraplatin).

Toxicity: Grade 3-4 toxicities included neutropenia, leucopenia, neuropathy, infection, anemia, weakness, paresthesia, and congestive heart failure.

Results: Median survival was 16.0 months.
