Toxicity: Grade 4 granulocytopenia was more common in patients receiving paclitaxel for the shorter (24 hour) time, occurring in 79% of patients compared to 54% of patients in the other group. Other grade 3 and 4 toxicities included leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, anemia, and gastrointestinal.

Results: The median overall survival was 2.49 years for patients treated with cisplatin and a 24-hour infusion of paclitaxel, and 2.54 years for patients treated with cisplatin and a 96-hour infusion of paclitaxel.
