Financial Services and Support
for Cancer Patients

A cancer diagnosis leads to financial difficulties. It effects incomes and creates new expenses. In addition, money can dictate what type of treatments a cancer patient can access. A patient's finances and decisions of a third party (i.e. insurance company) can and do control what therapies (both orthodox and alternative) are accessible.

Because access to dollars can mean greater freedom in making treatment decisions, Cancer Monthly has created this section to identify financial assistance for cancer patients. Such assistance is presented in three parts:

  1. Individual Opportunities - for people with life insurance
  2. Non-Government Programs - financial assistance provided by charities
  3. Government Programs - financial assistance provided by state and federal government
