  • Paul Kraus was diagnosed with advanced peritoneal mesothelioma and sent home to die in 1997. He created his own alternative path to healing, is alive nine years later, and has enjoyed a good quality of life. His internationally acclaimed book Surviving Mesothelioma and Other Cancers: A Patient's Guide presents his approach to healing his cancer.

  • Madeleen Herreshoff was diagnosed with aggressive poorly differentiated invasive breast cancer in 1991, and had a local recurrence in 1994. She blended mainstream and alternative therapies creating her own personalized integrative approach. Today through her valuable organization CanHelp, she helps cancer patients all over the world find cancer treatments.

  • Ann Fonfa was diagnosed with left breast, stage I, invasive lobular carcinoma in January 1993. It recurred from 1995 to 2001 with 25 tumors overall – 14 of which appeared on the chest wall making her stage IV. Ann used her own personalized approach to her care, chosen through a combination of chemical sensitivity/special needs and her own readings of research studies. Ann’s amazing resource, The Annie Appleseed Project, provides critical information, education, advocacy and awareness for people with cancer.
