Description:

Patients:
This study involved 31 metastatic colorectal cancer patients who had previously received fluoropyrimidine-based chemotherapy. The average patient age was 65.5 years and 58.1% were male.

Treatment:
Patients were treated with the biologic therapy agent called panitumumab, which is a monoclonal antibody targeting the EGFR protein.

Toxicities:
The most severe toxicities were of grade 2 and included nausea, anorexia, and weight loss.

Results:
The median overall survival was 11.4 months.
