Description:

Patients:
This study involved 24 non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma patients with a median age of 63 years; 75% were male.

Treatment:
Patients received radioimmunotherapy with the biologic therapy agent rituximab (an antibody that recognizes the CD20 protein and targets cancer cells to be killed by the immune system) that was combined with radioactive particles.

Toxicities:
There was one treatment-related death reported for this study. Grade 4 neutropenia, thrombocytopenia, and anemia were also reported.

Results:
The median overall survival was 11.3 months.
