Description:

Patients:
This study involved 17 malignant pleural mesothelioma patients who had previously been treated with pemetrexed and platinum chemotherapy agents. The median patient age was 58 years and 88% were male.

Treatment:
Patients received chemotherapy with vinorelbine and gemcitabine.

Toxicities:
The most severe toxicities were of grade 4 and included anemia, leucopenia, and neutropenia. Grade 3 constipation was also reported.

Results:
The median overall survival was 11.2 months.
