Description:

Patients:
This phase II study involved 38 advanced colorectal carcinoma patients with a median age of 63 years; 21 of the patients were male.

Treatment:
Patients were treated with the chemotherapy agents irinotecan and S-1.

Toxicities:
The most severe toxicities were of grade 4 and included leukopenia and neutropenia. Grade 3 anorexia and diarrhea were also reported.

Results:
The reported median overall survival was 29.1 months.
