Description:

Patients: This Phase II study involved 45 patients with metastatic melanoma.

Treatment: The treatment consisted of low-dose total body irradiation and a kind of immunotherapy (subcutaneous Interleukin-2).

Toxicity: The most common grade 3 and 4 toxicities were lethargy, CNS toxicity, and infections. Other toxicities included liver toxicity, thrombocytopenia, respiratory, and skin toxicity.

Results: The overal median survival was 5.8 months.
