Description:

Patients:
This phase 2 study involved 10 female metastatic breast cancer patients with a median age of 56.5 years.

Treatment:
Patients were treated with the chemotherapy agents capecitabine and oxaliplatin.

Toxicities:
The most severe toxicities were of grade 4 and included grade 3-4 diarrhea and liver toxicity. Nerve toxicity was also reported.

Results:
The median overall survival was 19 months.
