Description:

Patients: This phase II study involved 56 patients with advanced/metastatic colorectal cancer.

Treatment: Treatment consisted of the chemotherapy drug, capecitabine (xeloda).

Toxicity: The most common grade 3/4 laboratory abnormalities were lymphocytopenia and hyperbilirubinemia. Other toxicities included: hand-foot syndrome, anorexia, diarrhea, and fever.

Results: Median overall survival was 17.6 months.
