Description:

Patients: This phase 2 study involved 63 patients with metastatic non-small cell lung cancer. The average age was 64, ranging from 26 to 87 years of age. About half (56%) of the patients were men.

Treatment: Patients were treated with a vaccine designed to make the immune system ‘see’ and fight/kill tumor cells. The vaccine is called IDM-2101 and it is made up of small proteins.

Toxicity: Grade 3 fever/chills were reported. Grade 1 and 2 toxicities included injection site erythema, fatigue, injection site pain, and fever.

Results: The median survival was 17.3 months (520 days)
