Description:

Patients:
This phase 2 study involved 34 patients with peripheral T-cell lymphoma. The median patient age was 60 years and 67% were male.

Treatment:
Patients were treated with the chemotherapy agents cisplatin, etoposide, and gemcitabine, as well as the steroid hormone methylprednisolone.

Toxicities:
There was one treatment-related death due to infection. Grade 4 neutropenia and thrombocytopenia were also reported.

Results:
The median overall survival was 17 months.
