Description:

Patients:
This study involved 19 non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma patients with a median age of 50 years; 47% were male.

Treatment:
Patients were treated with the chemotherapy agents pixantrone, cisplatin, and cytosine arabinoside, as well as the steroid hormone methylprednisolone.

Toxicity:
The most severe toxicities were of grade 4 and included anemia, neutropenia, and thrombocytopenia. Grade 3 fatigue, anorexia, and deep vein thrombosis were also reported.

Results:
The median overall survival was 14.5 months.
