Description:

Patients: This Phase II study involved 55 patients (35 men, 20 women, median age 72) with metastatic colorectal cancer. Two patients had chemotherapy and six had radiotherapy before the study.

Treatment: Treatment consisted of one chemotherapeutic agent: capecitabine.

Toxicity: No grade 3-4 toxicities were observed. Grade 2-3 toxicities included diarrhea, fatigue, stomatitis, and hand-foot syndrome.

Results: The median overall survival was 11.2 months.
