Description:

Patients:
This phase 2 study involved 89 newly diagnosed glioblastoma patients. The median patient age was not given but 62% were male.

Treatment:
Patients were treated with radiation therapy and the biologic therapy agent thalidomide (an antiangiogenic drug that targets tumor blood supply).

Toxicities:
The most severe toxicities were of grade 4. Grade 3-4 toxicities included blood clots, skin reactions, and neurological disorders.

Results:
The median overall survival was 10 months.
