Description:

Patients:
This study involved 57 metastatic colorectal cancer patients with a median age of 61 years and 60% male.

Treatment:
Patients were treated with the biologic agent bevacizumab and the combination of chemotherapy agents called FOLFOXIRI, consisting of irinotecan, fluorouracil, oxaliplatin, and folinate.

Toxicity:
The maximum toxicity grade reported was 4, including neutropenia, stomatitis (inflammation of the GI tract lining), and hypertension.

Results:
The reported median progression-free survival and overall survival were 13.1 and 30.9 months, respectively.
