Description:

Patients:
This phase II study involved 45 previously-treated metastatic urothelial carcinoma patients with a median age of 68 years; 32 patients were male.

Treatment:
Patients in this study were treated with the chemotherapy agents paclitaxel, ifosfamide, and nedaplatin.

Toxicities:
The most severe adverse reactions were of grade 4 and included leukopenia (46.7% of patients), neutropenia (91.1%), and thrombocytopenia (6.7%). Also, all patients reported grade 2 alopecia.

Results:
The median overall survival was 8.9 months.
