Description:

Patients:
This phase 2 study involved 25 previously treated metastatic colorectal cancer patients. The median patient age was 61 years and 48% were male.

Treatment:
Patients received chemotherapy with capecitabine and leucovorin.

Toxicities:
The most severe toxicities were of grade 3 and included thrombocytopenia, mucositis (inflammation of GI tract lining), and hand-foot syndrome.

Results:
The median overall survival was 7.1 months.
