Description:

This phase 2 study involved 39 patients with metastatic transitional cell carcinoma of the urinary tract with a median age of 69 years. Patient gender information was not provided.

Treatment:
Patients were treated with the chemotherapy agents mitomycin, fluorouracil, folinic acid, and irinotecan.

Toxicities:
The most severe toxicities were of grade 4 and included malaise, pain, and infection.

Results:
The median overall survival was 5.4 months.
