Description:

Patients:
This study involved 31 small-cell lung cancer patients with a median age of 64 years and 90.3% were male. All patients were in early relapse after previous chemotherapy.

Treatment:
Patients in this study received a combination of two common chemotherapy agents, pegylated liposomal doxorubicin and irinotecan.

Toxicities:
The highest toxicity level reported in this study was grade 3, which was most commonly fatigue (22.6% of patients). Other reported toxicities were alopecia (48.4% with grade 1 and 2) and anemia (83.9% with grade 1-3).

Results:
The median overall survival reported for this study was 3.16 months.
