Description:

Patients:
This study involved 46 peripheral T-Cell lymphoma patients with a median age of 51 years. Of these, 54.3% were male.

Treatment:
Patients were treated with the biologic therapy agent called bortezomib (inhibits the proteasome complex in cells and causes cell death. inhibits the proteasome complex in cells and causes cell death) and the combination of chemotherapy agents cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, and vincristine and the hormone prednisone.

Toxicities:
There were two treatment-related deaths due to liver dysfunction and infection. Grade 3-4 neutropenia with fever, thrombocytopenia, and diarrhea were also reported.

Results:
The median overall survival was 26.6 months.
