Description:

Patients: This Phase II study involved 45 women with advanced epithelial ovarian cancer (stage III or IV). The median age was 52. Metastatic sites included liver, pleura, and spleen.

Treatment: The treatment consisted of three chemotherapeutic drugs: cisplatin, paclitaxel, and gemcitabine.

Toxicity: Grade 3-4 toxicities included hematological toxicities (neutropenia, anemia, thrombocytopenia), nausea/vomiting, constipation, and uremia.

Results: The overall survival was 26 months.
