Description:

Patients:
This phase II study involved 60 patients with muscle-invasive bladder cancer who had not received prior chemotherapy. The median patient age was 65.5 years 96.7% were male.

Treatment:
Patients in this study were treated with the chemotherapy agents cisplatin, gemcitabine, and docetaxel.

Toxicities:
The most severe treatment-related toxicities were of grade 4 and included neutropenia, thrombocytopenia, diarrhea, and fatigue.

Results:
The median overall survival was 21.4 months.
