Treatment: Patients were treated with an immunotherapy, a vaccine against the tumor made from dendritic cells.

Toxicity: No toxicities associated with the treatment were reported.

Results: The median overall survival in patients that responded to the vaccine was 21.2 months (642 days), and 14.1 months (430) days in those that didn’t respond (make a measureable immune response).

Support: This study was supported by research funds from MGI pharma, which developed the immunotherapy used in the study.
