Description:

Patients:
This study involved 45 glioblastoma multiforme patients. The median patient age was 61 years and 62.2% were male.

Treatment:
Patients were treated with hypofractionated, high-dose irradiation therapy and the chemotherapy agent temozolomide.

Toxicities:
The most severe toxicities were of grade 4 and included radiation necrosis (tissue death), thrombocytopenia, and hemorrhage within the tumor.

Results:
The median overall survival was 20.0 months.
