Description:

Patients:
This study involved 45 women with epithelial ovarian cancer who had relapsed following previous treatment with carboplatin and paclitaxel. The median patient age was 60 years.

Treatment:
Patients were treated with the chemotherapy agents gemcitabine, carboplatin, pegylated liposomal doxorubicin, and cyclophosphamide.

Toxicities:
The most severe toxicities were of grade 4 and included thrombocytopenia and neutropenia. Grade 3 anemia, fatigue, and allergic reaction were also reported.

Results:
The median overall survival was 18.8 months.
