Description:

Patients: This Phase II study involved 55 patients with advanced colorectal carcinoma.

Treatment: Treatment consisted of three chemotherapy drugs – irinotecan (camptosar, CPT-11), leucovorin, and 5-fluorouracil (5-FU, adrucil)

Toxicity: There was one toxic death because of diarrhea, neutropenia, bacteremia, and sepsis. Other toxicities included: leucopenia (grade 1-3), neutropenia (grade 1-3), anemia (grade 1-2), thrombocytopenia (grade 3), nausea/vomiting (grade1-2), asthenia (grade 1-3).

Results: The median overall survival was 15.0 months
