Description:

Patients:
This study involved 31 elderly (60 years or older) refractory and relapsed peripheral T-cell lymphoma patients who had previously received chemotherapy. The median patient age was 66 years and 18 were male.

Treatment:
Patients were treated with the chemotherapy agents gemcitabine and oxaliplatin, as well as the steroid hormone dexamethasone.

Toxicities:
The most severe toxicities were of grade 4 and included neutropenia and thrombocytopenia. Grade 2 nerve and cardiac toxicities were also reported.

Results:
The median overall survival was 14 months.
